The Origin
This started with Ali.
Ali was Zach's girlfriend. One night, her car was totaled in a severe crash — the kind that bends the frame past fixing and leaves a person stranded without a way to get to work, to the store, to the life they were building.
Watching her rebuild from nothing, Zach saw how thin the line is between "getting by" and "stuck." A working car is the difference. So he started fixing cars — other people's cars — and putting every dollar of profit toward buying one for someone who couldn't afford it.
He named the fund after her — and put her first in line. The very first car the fund buys is for Ali. We're still working toward it, one repair at a time.
"I can't undo what happened to Ali's car. But I can make sure someone else doesn't lose theirs to circumstance."
— Zach, founder of Ali's Car Fund
